Jill Scott was born on April 4 1972 on the 4th of April 1972 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to her mother Joyce Scott. She was raised by both her mother and grandmother. The only child she has. Scott completed her studies at her school, the Philadelphia High School for Girls. After that, she attended Temple University. She completed her secondary education the course of two years while also working. She planned to become the high school's English teacher. However, her dream was in vain when she left the college after a year of studies and was an aide to teachers.
